• Yesterday: Got to fire pistols and rifles and shotguns during a firearm safety class.
• Yesterday: Got to spend time with Ellen and Jill and Rocket, chatting and playing with play dough (mostly Rocket on the 2nd thing).
• This morning I was driving in an area known for giving a lot of speeding tickets, and suddenly there was a cop behind me and he turned on his lights. I pulled over and then he drove right by me. Whew! So happy after that.
• Also the drive to the shooting range is through some foothills that make me love CA scenery all over again.
• One of the other students in the firearm safety class made some pretty darn good peanut butter cup chocolate peanut butter frosted cookies.
• I got to load and fire a black powder pistol, as well as several automatic weapons including an MP-5 submachine gun. It was all very fun.
• Finally got to go home, spread out and relax, see Jack.
• And sleep in my own bed tonight, thank goodness.
• What was going to be an extremely busy weekend cleared up unexpectedly. Now I have time to catch up on classwork that I missed this week.
• The freed weekend also means Jack and I can go to see Catching Fire tomorrow! ooooh
